Traders await the arrival of the incoming fishing boats and the landing of their catches. The fishermen then disentangle the fish from their nets, laying them out according to size and types on the sand on the shady side of the boat. Then the fish are auctioned from the boat by one of the fishermen.

Lobsters are often placed in a net after catching at sea, to stop them impeding the fishermen. They have to be very carefully disentangled and as they are alive, can administer painful pinches with their sharp claws.
